The snark can be made on a keyboad by just typing a tilde after the period of an ironic sentence.

Some fonts include a new character to replace this, offering a dressier look. This may work automatically, or through picking it from a list and pasting it in place. Character Map and Keyboard Viewer are programs built into computers to do this.

BOTH OF THESE ARE REAL SNARKS.

What exactly the snark can become is up to each of us. Here are some starting ideas:
- Use it where you feel that verbal irony is betrayed by the written word.
I plead ignorance in all discussions of Socratic irony.~
- Use by itself in where you feel a need to clarify a previous statement of irony in a text chat.
“Coolguyx: Thats great.”
“Gma55: what? no its not!”
“Coolguyx:.~”
“Gma55: oh.”
- As a finish to a long satirical essay or article, particularly a hoax you want to finally reveal.
